Training Overview
This qualification is for anyone organising community recreation programmes and events. Whether your idea involves sport, art, culture, music, marae, social or club events our resource will help you put your ideas into action.
Module One – Programme Planning and Delivery Workshop
The first module is designed to equip trainees with the skills to plan and implement successful community focussed events.
Resources are supplied including planning sheets that provide you with an easy step–by–step plan, and facilitated training to help you turn your great ideas into reality.
By participating in the workshop and on completion of your programme/activity or event there is an opportunity to achieve unit standards. These can be registered on your record of learning on the National Qualifications Framework.
The resource for this module incorporates the Get Set Go! guide that was prepared by Wellington City Council and Sport Wellington and the Running Sport: Event Management module published by Sport and Recreation New Zealand (SPARC).
Whether your programme or event involves art, music, culture, marae, sport, social or club events, this resource will help you with your planning. It includes:
1. Developing your great idea
2. Planning the programme
3. Running the programme
4. Evaluations
On conclusion of your programme or event and completion of the assessment tasks, you submit these to Skills Active so that your work can be checked by an assessor against unit standards.
