Enter the wānanga (house of learning), where wise Māori kaumātua (elders) share the art of haka.

Kaumātua Kapa Haka is an opportunity for senior Māori performing artists to share their experience, knowledge, and love of kapa haka with the following generations. Join them in an all-day wananga to learn about iconic waiata from the past and the composers who wrote them. Based around sharing information about two prominent composers, male and female, as well as showing archival footage about these early composers.
